Dr. Vicky Buckles is an Associate Professor of Instruction within the Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program in the Department of Child & Family Studies at USF. She is also the director of the Addictions & Substance Abuse Counseling Graduate Certificate Program, which enables professionals in mental health, rehabilitation counseling, counselor education, social work, psychology, and other human service fields to enhance their knowledge and skills in marriage and family therapy.
Dr. Buckles received her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Florida. She worked at Putnam Behavior Healthcare as Clinical Director for Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare in Palatka, Fl, where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the outpatient clinic as well as program development at the Palatka outpatient clinic. Previously, she worked at Putnam Behavior Healthcare in roles as children鈥檚 mental health counselor and clinical director. In addition, Dr. Buckles served as Adjunct Faculty and Instructor at the University of Florida and St. Johns Community College.
Her research interests include life care plans for adopted children with disabilities, domestic violence and substance misuse.
