Tammy Jorgensen Smith, PhD, CRC, an associate professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program, was invited to meet with the ambassador of France to the United States, Laurent Bili.
Smith was also invited to meet with President Carl Jubran, PhD, and the board of trustees of The American College of the Mediterranean (ACM) Institute for American Universities (IAU), ACM-IAU alumni and staff, and colleagues in international education. A reception will be held at the R茅sidence de France (the residence of the French ambassador to the United States) in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 21.
The event will include comments from distinguished guests including Ambassador Kurt Volker, Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist Jim Hoagland, and celebrated journalist and blogger Steve Clemons. Smith has connections with ACM-IAU through a study abroad experience coordinated in Aix-en-Provence, France in 2018.
