Christina Dillahunt-Aspillaga, PhD, professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies, has accepted an invitation to become a member of the (SERVES) funded by the VA Office of Research and Development.
SERVES has three major goals:
- Increase veterans’ access to evidence-based programs and expand the VA’s adoption of scientifically supported employment services;
- Foster research on the reciprocal effects of employment and medical/psychosocial conditions, as well as the development and evaluation of programs to ameliorate the impact of these factors; and
- Create a robust network of early career and mid-career investigators incorporating aspects of financial health that align with the needs and priorities of relevant VACO partners.
As a SERVES member, Dillahunt-Aspillaga will be eligible for intramural grant funding and will have opportunities to collaborate on projects, mentor early career researchers and trainees, connect with operational leaders involved in SERVES, and consult with the SERVES panel on research proposals and active projects.
