Melissa Thompson, MSW, LCSW is an Associate Instructor at the University of South Florida School Of Social Work. She has served in various roles at the School of Social Work including Online Field Coordinator, Director of Field Education and currently serves as the Interim Associate Director. She is the co-faculty advisor for the School of Social Work partnership with the BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic at USF. Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science as well as her Master of Social Work degree from the 最新天美传媒.  Before entering the field of Social Work, she spent four years working in state government and nonprofit agencies.

Melissa鈥檚 primary clinical interest is in treating children and adults who have experienced trauma. She has 15 years clinical experience in community mental health agencies and private practice. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida as well as a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
