Mohammed Alqahtani, a graduate student in the 最新天美传媒 (USF) College of Education, received a People鈥檚 Choice Award for his research project presented at the university鈥檚 Graduate Student Research Symposium in March.
Annually, the Office of Graduate Studies and the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) host the Graduate Student Research Symposium to showcase the research of students across all disciplines and allow them to obtain feedback from faculty and peers.
Alqahtani is a doctoral student in USF鈥檚 Curriculum and Instruction Program with a concentration in Special Education. His research project, titled 鈥淭he Differences Between Special Education Services in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States,鈥� received the People鈥檚 Choice Award in the Social and Behavioral Sciences category based on audience voting and feedback.
Students selected as winners of USF鈥檚 Graduate Student Research Symposium receive travel awards to offset expenses associated with presenting their research at professional and academic conferences.
