ABOUT MY RESEARCH
I completed my bachelor鈥檚 in chemistry at Cal Poly 鈥揝an Luis Obispo. After assisting with field work in coastal research, I became interested in chemical oceanography. At CMS I will be working in the lab of Dr. Robert H. Byrne and Dr. Don P. Chambers, and I plan to study the carbon cycle in the Southern Ocean via data collected by autonomous biogeochemical floats.
WHY USF CMS?
I was drawn to CMS due to its excellent professors and the welcoming community I experienced during the virtual recruitment event. I am also excited to explore the volunteer opportunities at CMS such as the Oceanography Camp for Girls and the St. Petersburg Science Festival.
