We asked for an update from alum Aja Estro and here is what she had to say,
"Here are some updates on our current projects:
Emergency Response Readiness: With the hurricane season upon us, our team is on high alert, prepared to deploy as first responders wherever necessary. Our swift response capability ensures that we can deliver immediate aid and relief to affected communities, providing essential resources and support during times of crisis.
Local Initiatives: In the Tampa Bay Area, our foster and adoption program continues to thrive, focusing on at-risk shelter animals, cruelty cases, and owner surrenders. We work tirelessly to provide these vulnerable animals with safe and loving homes, addressing their medical and emotional needs to ensure successful placements.
Global Outreach: Internationally, our Chifundo Clinic in rural Malawi operates seven days a week, offering vital medical services to underserved communities. This clinic is a lifeline for many, providing essential healthcare and veterinary services that improve the well-being of both people and their animals.
Future Developments: We are excited to announce the development of a new program designed to support families in need, helping them to stay united with their pets during challenging times. Recognizing the deep bond between pets and their owners, we aim to provide resources and assistance to prevent unnecessary separations due to financial or personal hardships.
Community Support: Compassion Kind frequently receives calls for help from hospitals, shelters, and individuals facing crises. Whether it鈥檚 providing emergency medical care, facilitating animal rescues, or offering emotional support, our dedicated team responds with compassion and expertise to every request. "
