Welcome to the Program
What is Economics?
Economics studies the following:
- How society produces and distributes goods;
- The consumption of resources, services and goods;
- The decision making behind the consumption of those resources, services and goods and how that impacts our society
The data gathered from the consumption of those resources, services and goods is collected and analyzed by those within the economics discipline to educate and inform the decisions of consumers, businesses and public policy makers.
Data is one of the most valuable assets any organization can have. This curriculum trains students to properly collect, analyze and present data that supports economic and business decisions.
The Department of Economics offers two majors
- Which major should you choose?
