USF Humanitarian Response for the Bahamas

The USF and Tampa Bay communities are no strangers to inclement weather but collectively our hearts go out to the people of the northern Bahamas. We understand that the citizens of Abaco and Grand Bahama desperately need support to rebuild their lives. In the short term they have a need for basic necessities but we also understand that they will need our support far into the future. This webpage has been created to inform the USF community across the region what 最新天美传媒 is doing to respond to the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, and to invite you to engage and support this critical initiative. Below we share our recommendations for the most effective ways to contribute and, from time to time, we will share the stories that accompany this collective effort. Thank you for bringing your passion and energy to our Bahamian neighbors here in Tampa Bay and to the Bahamian people as they care for their citizens.

Financial Donations

These donations will be used to secure additional medical supplies and to support the continuing flights into Grand Bahama and the delivery of supplies to the Rand Memorial Hospital. You may make a donation online to our . Thank you for your generosity!

Medical Donations

The current medical donation drive has ended. Thank you to Student Government, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Caribbean Cultural Exchange, all of the drop-off locations across the USF Tampa campus, and to everyone who donated these much needed supplies. Below, please view photos from a few of the drop-off locations and efforts. More images will be added as we get them. If any new donation drives begin, we will post that information here.

USF Student Success Units

On Friday, September 6th, the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) in partnership with the Caribbean Cultural Exchange hosted a Community Hour: Standing in Support & Solidarity with the Bahamas in the Marshall Student Center.  The program included dialogue, stress relief and solidarity activities, native music and food for students, staff, and faculty for over 100 guests.
